You will assist as needed and work with children using the Frog Street Curriculum. You will be responsible for caring for infant/toddlers ages 6 months to 24 months. The Infant/Toddler Teacher must have a great love and patience for children. He/she will work with a Lead Teacher to ensure each child’s needs are met. The ideal candidate will be a caring individual who enjoys teaching young children with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. You must have a GED or H.S. Diploma and have completed the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority. Responsibilities Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in his/her care Change diapers as needed Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times Track children’s progress and report to parents Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Skills Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication and instructional skills Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable Certification in child
