Assistant Teacher (2 Year Old Class) Kid’s University Learning Center Marrero, LA 70072 Kid’s University Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for students. This role is essential in fostering a love of learning and helping children develop their skills in various subjects, including Math while promoting positive behavior management and classroom dynamics. Kid’s University Learning Center Assistant Teacher assists the lead teacher in providing care and education for young children, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves supervising children, reinforcing lessons, maintaining a safe environment, and assisting with daily routines and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Care:
Supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Instructional Support:
Assisting the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans, reinforcing learning materials, and providing individualized attention to students.
Classroom Management:
Helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicating with parents about their child’s progress and well-being and collaborating with the lead teacher and other staff.
Personal Care:
Assisting with basic needs such as toileting, feeding, and hygiene.
Skills and Qualifications:
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children. Ability to work effectively with children of different ages and developmental levels. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Basic knowledge of early childhood development and education principles. Previous experience working with children in a daycare or similar setting is often preferred. CPR/First Aid certification may be required. Must have CDA or be enrolled in CDA classes within 30 days of hirer.
