The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging educational activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a structured and supportive learning atmosphere. Assess children’s progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for all students. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in early childhood education. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience working in a preschool setting or with young children is highly desirable. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and early childhood education best practices. Familiarity with special education principles is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to various learning styles. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not required at the time of hire; training will be provided as needed.
