Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to EL students during classroom instruction, including scaffolding content, clarifying academic language, and encouraging participation. Collaborate daily with general education teachers to plan and implement strategies that meet EL students’ linguistic and academic needs. Foster student engagement and confidence while promoting English language development in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Implement accommodations and language supports Build positive, trusting relationships with students that affirm their identities and language assets. Participate in ongoing professional development and coaching related to language acquisition and instructional strategies. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting a culturally responsive and inclusive school community.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred. Experience working with children or in a classroom setting preferred. Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn and grow through feedback and professional learning. A deep belief in the potential of all students, especially multilingual learners.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual or multilingual proficiency. Experience supporting English Learners in inclusive settings.
