Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teaching Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a warm, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment where young girls can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities, lesson preparation, and implementation Supervise and engage children in indoor and outdoor play, fostering a safe and positive environment Support individual and small-group learning under the direction of the lead teacher Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom space Assist with daily routines such as meals, rest time, and transitions Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents Model positive behavior and reinforce school values of kindness, respect, and cooperation
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Experience working with children ages 2-5 in a school or childcare setting A warm, patient, and energetic personality Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with others Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
