SALARY RANGE
$27,294•$45,014
Ad Valorem•2.40 parish property (ad valorem) tax mills are dedicated to employee salaries. The annual receipts from this tax are distributed to employees twice a year, one-half in January and one-half in June. The amount of each employee’s supplement is the employee’s salary multiplied by the annual percentage (computed each year based on actual tax revenues).
Plaquemines Parish Learning Center is looking for caring and hard working paraprofessionals who will assist students to do their very best in various placements throughout the school.
1. Working with Middle and High School Students•Regular Education or Special Education students
2. All core subject areas
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associates Degree or 48 College Hours or Passing Score on the ParaPro PRAXIS Test
2. Must be willing to work with staff, students, and parents
3. Will be required to provide intervention support to students when needed
4. This position requires flexibility and the ability to perform a variety of duties including frequent standing, walking, stooping,
crouching, and monitoring students in the hallways
5. Willing to receive and implement additional training as needed
