Floater/Assistant Teacher The Friendly Hive Learning Center 1051 Ronald Reagan Highway, Covington, LA 70433 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. This role is essential in fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes childhood development and literacy education. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with students to ensure their individual needs are met and to help them thrive academically and socially. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning. Engage with students to promote their social, emotional, and academic growth. Implement behavior management strategies to address various student needs. Foster literacy education through reading activities and interactive learning. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to lead teachers regarding individual student performance. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Experience Experience working with students in preschool or early childhood settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
