Job Description
The Emily G. Wetherbee School is a small K-8 neighborhood school in Lawrence, Massachusetts, that believes in fostering a deep-rooted love of learning and curiosity. The Emily G. Wetherbee School is seeking a paraprofessional/instructional aide to support students and teachers in multiple grade-levels. The paraprofessional is responsible for supporting the classroom teacher and students in activities directly related to education in the classroom.
The ideal candidate possesses a belief that all students are capable of learning. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the education and social development of students under the direction and guidance of general or special education teachers (remotely and/or in person)
- Providing support for students as determined by needs
- Assisting in administration of state/district wide assessments
- Implementing small group instruction as directed by the lead teacher, in a variety of content areas
- Maintaining confidentiality of student information
- Managing student behavior under the direction of lead classroom teacher
- Completing additional duties as assigned
- Participating in the Warrior

- Substitute teach as needed
