AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The classroom assistant supports students within a substantially separate classroom and in general education classrooms both academically, socially and emotionally. The assistant will go with designated students to support in general education settings, lunch/recess if necessary and specialists. Helps implement behavior plans and modifications as necessary if necessary. Works with the classroom teacher and assists in the classroom as the teacher deems appropriate. This may include small group instruction, giving frequent breaks, making modifications for students and working with diverse learning styles. Works with special needs population in a substantially separate classroom. Will implement current IEP plans, data collection and discrete trials. Working with grade level colleagues along with the classroom teacher. Other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administrators
