$43.2K – $54K a year 7 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Experience working with students Special Education Associate’s degree Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Austin Prep is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Instructional Assistant to join our Student Integrated Learning Program. This role provides direct support to students who learn differently across various school environments—including classrooms, small group tutorials, and co-curricular activities. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Learning, this integral member of our inclusive education team, you’ll help implement accommodations, reinforce learning objectives, and create a nurturing atmosphere that fosters student growth, self-advocacy, and success. If you’re passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and committed to supporting diverse learning needs, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Support students with learning differences during classroom instruction and transitions. Assist with the implementation of accommodations (e.g., movement breaks, assistive tech, visual aids). Provide 1:1 or small-group academic reinforcement under teacher supervision. Help prepare inclusive instructional materials and classroom activities. Model positive behavior, emotional regulation, and respectful communication. Maintain a safe, supportive presence in hallways, cafeterias, and other shared spaces. Collaborate with the Integrated Learning team and communicate student needs professionally.

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Special Education, Psychology, or related field ideal). Experience working with students with learning differences (e.g., ADHD, ASD, anxiety). Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism. A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine desire to support student success.
