Position Description The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer. Overview
Off Campus and Commuter Student Services is seeking a full time Graduate Assistant to support the office in executing its mission and goals. The Graduate Assistantship is a part-time paraprofessional position that reports directly to the Assistant/Director. The graduate assistant will support programming, outreach and event planning specific to Off Campus and Commuter students. The graduate assistant will collaborate with a variety of offices through the SAEM division and across the university. Responsibilities
Assist with the recruitment and hiring of Commuter Ambassadors (CAs).
Assist with supervising and training the CAs.
Assist with the development, implementation and assessment for OCCSS programming, especially as it relates to retention efforts.
Lead efforts in the creation, content planning and implementation of communications through social media platforms. Coordinate outreach to campus partners for collaboration. Support department assessment efforts.
Serve as a role model for students in the OCCSS Office.
Other programmatic duties and special projects as they arise during the course of the academic year to assist with furthering the mission of OCCSS. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

Strong customer service skills
Ability to interact well with the diverse segments of the Bridgewater State University community
Knowledge of technology and social media as a means for communicating with the campus and marketing the department
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of constituents
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Maintain confidentiality Physical Demands Physical Demands
