Instructional Paraprofessional-(Gates)-(SY25-26) 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars Scituate, MA

REPORTS TO

Principal and Lead Educator.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The paraprofessional works closely with and under the direction and supervision of the designated lead educator for the benefit of all students. The paraprofessional is evaluated by the building principal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the Paraprofessional’s assignment. Proctor daily content area tests/quizzes as well as standardized tests including MCAS Supporting students’ use of assistive technology Implement behavior plans as appropriate Provide coverage for Classroom/Special Education Teachers for meetings Prepare materials for special education department Weekly training/consultation with the lead educator as built into schedule Reinforce previously taught concepts in a small group setting Duties that are designated by the Principal Documenting students’ progress both academically and behaviorally Be aware of and adhere to confidentiality protocol Reinforce instruction under lead educator’s management Performs other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee

QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED

High school diploma or GED Ability to work with students in a tutorial capacity necessary Ability to follow directions of the lead educator and/or the building Principal is essential Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED

Experience working with special education population

TERMS:

This is a 10 month based on the school year.
