Daycare Assistant Teacher Golden Glow Daycare Westminster, MA 01473 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational programs. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to manage a classroom effectively. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with children of various ages, including toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with developmental milestones. Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Engage children in interactive activities that promote learning in areas such as language, math, and social skills. Provide care for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive atmosphere. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns. Conduct regular assessments of children’s development to tailor activities to their individual needs. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols. Experience Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential. Experience working with children of varying ages, particularly toddlers. Skills in behavior management to effectively address challenges in the classroom. Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus but not required at the time of hire; training will be provided. Experience in babysitting or caring for children outside of a formal setting is beneficial.
