Summary:
The Assistant Teacher role is responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in providing comprehensive, developmentally appropriate care and education for young children in cooperation with families, co-teachers, and administrators based on current standards of best practice in the field of early childcare and education.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Completion of college courses preferred.
License/Certifications:
Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification preferred. Current BLS Certification and First Aid Certification preferred or must complete within 30 days of start date.
Experience:
Teaching/caregiving in group childcare/preschool setting preferred; Experience with the Creative Curriculum and NAEYC Accreditation preferred.
