Welcome to Maine School Administrative District #75 (MSAD 75)
Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.
MSAD 75 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional at Bowdoin Central School to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.
School Year Position, 193 Days
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Instruct individual and/or small groups of students under the indirect supervision of a teacher.
Prepare instructional materials.
Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by classroom teacher or designee.
Manage behavior according to IEP and behavior plans.
Supervise students during lunch and recess.
REQUIREMENTS
Three years of post-secondary education or combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved study.
Maine Department of Education Educational Technician I, II or III Authorization
Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
Behavioral Health Professional certification preferred.
Mandt trained or ability to train.
Strong behavioral management skills, ability to consistently follow and implement positive behavior support plans.
Demonstrated record keeping skills.
Proven ability to function as a team member.
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs.
