Job Description

Category Schools – Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Enthusiastic professionals are sought to provide specialized support in an educational setting focused on students with diverse behavioral needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Location:
Biddeford, ME Responsibilities:

Deliver consistent support to students requiring behavioral guidance and educational redirection. Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the direction of supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Foster positive relationships with students to encourage a constructive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with educators and other support staff to create tailored strategies that promote student success. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavioral incidents as required.

Qualifications:

Educational Technician certification preferred; Level 2 or Level 3 is a plus. Previous experience working in behavioral settings, particularly with elementary students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Skills in implementing behavioral strategies and providing crisis intervention if needed.
