Job Description:
The Teacher’s Assistant provides supportive class supervision, observes patients and documents classroom and patient activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC
Demonstrate appropriate written and verbal communication skills Provide a positive/supportive learning environment for all patients Assist and support the Teacher in duties relating to the school as requested. Write behavioral notations in individual patient’s chart weekly Observe and chart patient’s mood, attitude, and classroom productivity Report observations and school information to treatment team members Adhere to all confidentiality policies and procedures of the organization Ensures that all areas of responsibility function in a manner that meets all regulatory requirements and abides by HIPAA laws Remain current on organizational standards such as (but not limited to) CALM, CPR, and Relias learning Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPOSURE RISK
