Must have one of the following: Associate’s degree or higher•Preferred 60 College credit Missouri ParaPro Assessment passing score (before September 23, 2013) Missouri Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (after September 23, 2013), Or Completed Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program•Available through Grandview C-4 School District•

JOB GOAL
: To collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to effectively implement activities promoting student achievement during whole and small group instruction. Provide language interpretation, translation and support as needed by stakeholders (school staff and district).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Collaborate with teachers to implement activities that meet students’ instructional and social emotional needs. Assist students with scaffolded supports guided by classroom teachers to access content using (interpretation, translation, visuals, one step directions, etc…). Lead small group instruction under the direction of a supervising teacher. Supervise and adhere to schedules and duties outlined within the building sites needs (hallway duty, lunch duty, bus duty, etc…) Facilitate communication by interpreting and translating for Grandview C4 stakeholders as needed (teacher, parent meeting, documents, etc). Maintain records, documents and consistently provide two-way communications by sharing information in a timely manner. Assist with proactively identifying, screening and assessing English Learners. Participate in meetings (Conferences, Parents/Guardians, Teams, PD, etc.) Maintain and promote a positive learning environment. Other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full Time•Monday•Friday, 7 hours/188 days per year
