Characteristics of Work Under the direction of the Teacher, theClassroom Disabilities Aide is responsible for attending to thebasic needs of children with diagnosed disabilities, organizingactivities that stimulate the children’s physical, emotional,intellectual, and social growth, helping children explore theirinterests, developing their talents and independence, buildingself-esteem, and learning how to interact with others. Incumbentsare expected to work at various sites as assigned in order to meetthe needs of children with disabilities. Qualifications High SchoolDiploma with one (1) year of experience working in a preschoolsetting with children diagnosed with disabilities.
