Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher
- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of instruction
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior management
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress
Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
- Experience working with students with autism or special needs, implementing appropriate strategies and accommodations
- Knowledge of literacy education principles and techniques to support reading and writing instruction
- Experience working with diverse groups of students, including those from different cultural backgrounds or with varying abilities
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices for working with young learners
- Ability to educate and engage students in a variety of subjects and grade levels
- Knowledge of childcare and childhood development principles for effective student support
