We are hiring for:
IDD Teacher Assistant

To assist teachers and provide direct educational services to the service users of the center/facility. Requires High School diploma or G.E.D. with at least one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities
Assist teacher and Conduct activities that meet the needs of each individual (Integrative Activities). Assure class schedules and other routines are followed. Assist in the development of activities for week-ends and holidays. Assist in basic care of individuals, including instruction in such skills.
Collect appropriate data as assigned. Record progress of individuals as assigned. All other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
High School diploma or G.E.D. with at least one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
A Valid driver’s license in state of residence may be required.
Pre-employment screening:
Complete criminal background
Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
Drug testing
Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
Proof of employment history or references (if required)
Positions that require driving Proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
