Childcare Teacher Assistants Victory Learning Academy Inc. 620 North Grace Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 We are seeking several Teacher assistants to join our family! These individuals will assist in the day-to-day activity of the center
Responsibilities:
- Provide class coverage for teachers for short breaks, lunch, or absences.
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Complete simple daily cleaning duties
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Assist in the safe transition of children during arrivals and departures.
- Aid teachers in the classroom during busy times of the day.
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Follow lesson plans and schedules created by the lead teacher.
Qualifications:
- Must be punctual
- Have a current childcare qualification letter or the ability to complete one immediately
- Have a current TB skin test or the ability to complete one immediately
- High school diploma required
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children & parents
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Great organizational skills
- Ability & creativity to individualize care for children
