Assistant Teacher 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 3525 Rogers Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587 Job Summary Hope Lutheran Preschool is a Christ-Centered Preschool seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in implementing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and providing individualized attention to students, including those with disabilities and autism. Duties Assist in the development and implementation of engaging lesson plans and curriculum tailored to the needs of preschool students. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly environment conducive to learning. Provide individualized support to students with disabilities, including behavior management strategies tailored for those on the autism spectrum. Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages student participation and emotional growth. Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary. Maintain open communication with parents regarding student development and classroom activities. Qualifications Experience working with preschool aged children in a preschool setting is preferred. Knowledge of curriculum development strategies and effective classroom management techniques. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A genuine passion for educating young children and contributing positively to their development. Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education or special education is a plus but not required.
