Children’s Lighthouse is a national franchise with a robust teaching system and superior support from its Franchise Support Center. Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Has or working towards 2 or 4 year degree in early childhood or related field preferred with additional courses in Early Childhood Education, North Carolina Early Childhood Teaching Credentials, and at least two years direct teaching experience required
  • Enjoys children and expresses genuine interest in them
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong work ethics
  • Has or willing to get SIDS/CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Highly dependable
Key Skills/Expectations:
  • Provides a positive & nurturing environment for children by teaming up with the lead teacher
  • Complies with all rules and regulations at the School and local, State and national regulatory agencies, pertaining to the health, safety and care of children
  • Assists with each child’s development needs on a continual basis and in providing feedback through assessments and parent teacher conferences
  • Assists with managing daily functions for the classroom, including but not limited to curriculum implementation, transitions, room organization, snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities
  • Maintains pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
  • Assist Management team in other capacities as necessary
  • Required to stand up to 90% of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs in the course of caring for children and managing emergency situations
