Qualifications:
To be eligible, candidates must meet North Carolina state and district standards , including: High school diploma or GED (required) One of the following: 48+ hours of college coursework , or An Associates degree , or A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Successful background check and fingerprint clearance Experience in educational or special education settings (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering instruction and reinforcing learning objectives under teacher supervision Support students with academic tasks, behavioral goals, and social-emotional development Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed Provide 1:1 or small-group support as needed Promote a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student growth
