About Us:
Potter’s Hand Preschool exists to provide a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment where children can explore, create, and discover. Our preschool ministry serves children ages 2 to 5, implementing a fun and hands-on structure to learning where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a warm, responsible, and energetic preschool teacher assistant to join our 4 year old pre-K team. TA should be able to take on the lead role on Fridays for a Fun Friday. If you love working with children and helping them grow in a supportive, play-based environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment Assist with classroom set-up, clean-up, and organization Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play Foster positive social interactions and development Provide individual attention to children as needed Support children with routines like meals, bathroom breaks, and transitions from one activity to the next Communicate effectively with children, staff, and families Work with Director to plan and lead a weekly fun Friday (think messy, fun, play!)
Qualifications:
A heart for working with young children and a commitment to Christian education Fatih and beliefs should align with church’s mission of faith Experience working with young children (in a classroom or childcare setting preferred) Enthusiastic, patient, reliable High School Diploma, early childhood coursework a plus Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification Must pass background check and church safety screening
