Job Description:
Amergis Healthcare Staffing isseeking Teacher Assistants for behavioral settings. The Teacher Assistantprovides support to Lead Teacher and classroom.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide support to a lead teacher in charge of classroom + Reinforce lessons by tutoring individual students and/or working with small groups + Assisting the teacher with executing instruction, adapting materials to match student abilities, and evaluating the effectiveness of instruction
Qualifications:
+ Associates Degree or have at least 48 semester hours of college credits + 18 years of age or older + Experience working with students with special needs and behaviors is preferred but not required + Strong communication skills, ability to adapt instruction, and familiarity with tools and equipment for children with special needs
