No previous experience required – learn on the job. The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in providing a caring and safe environment for the children. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day activities of the classroom. The Assistant Teacher engages with the children to share the joy of learning through play. Part Time and Per Diem positions available. Duties Build nurturing, loving relationships with children. Assist in the implementation of activities and encourage participation by children. Be present and attentive and actively engaged at all times. Provide positive guidance and encouragement. Follow all center policies and state regulations. Work together as a team so that all staff are supported to achieve their very best. Be open to sharing ideas and trying new things. Requirements At least 16 years of age High energy. Ability to work well with others. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within first 30 days of hire. Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. Nice To Haves Previous experience working with young children.
