Position Purpose:
Under the direction of teaching staff, assists in meeting the developmental needs of children at Dartmouth College Child Care Center. Participates in implementing the program and supervising children’s activities.
Required Qualifications –
Education and Yrs Exp:
High School plus 1-2 year(s) of experience or equivalentbination of education and experience
Required Qualifications –
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old
Must have experience working with children
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must have the physical capability to move quickly to supervise children, lift, carry and physically assist children, sit on the floor and child-sized furniture, see and hear at a distance and close range.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-6 credits in Early Childhood Education from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
Goodmunication and interpersonal skills, particularly in relation to pre-school children and their parents.
Warm, friendly demeanor.
Ability and willingness to work a flexible work schedule.
Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population.
