Afternoon Assistant or Associate Teachers needed 2:00-600 Nellies Treehouse Amherst, NH Summary Nellie’s Treehouse is a NH state licensed child care center in Amherst NH located on Rt. 101A. Our hours of operation are 600am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. With a licensed capacity of 69 children Nellie’s serves children 6 week to 6 years in an environment that encourages learning through play and exploration. We are looking for qualified individuals who have a love for children. Must have good class/group management skills. Good communication skills with co-workers and parents important. Maintaining a consistent, safe and engaging environment and afternoon necessary. Duties Engage children in planned fun afternoon activities. Provide consistent behavior management skills and expectations Provide snack Classroom cleaning and shut down Good parent communication skills Ability to work with others Maintain state regulations and school policies Willing to help in other areas when needed Requirements Minimum of 9 credits in early childhood education Experience in a classroom Able to pass state and federal background fingerprint check Able to sit on floor with children Willing to complete state training expectations and annual professional development Consistent and reliable in attendance Willing to complete CPR/First Aid Nice To Haves Flexibility in schedule Good sense of humor Ability to work with others Willingness to learn Benefits Virtual Teledoc program Opportunities to complete free professional development Opportunities to go full time if position available About Us Nellie’s Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie’s provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land. The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child’s first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity. The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
