Seeking an Assistant Childcare Teacher who will interact in a positive way with children, parents/guardians and staff. Assistant Childcare Teacher:

Interact, initiate and encourage the children in daily activities; Assist the children in controlling their behavior by consistently using positive, developmentally appropriate approaches; Assist children in becoming independent; Provide nurturing; Promote the development of social skills; interact with children during mealtimes to promote social skills. Maintain effective communication with parents on a daily basis; Assist the Lead Teacher in planning, preparing and implementing activities; Offer the Lead Teacher suggestions and information regarding children; Assist in developing a cooperative and supportive room environment; Follow established personnel guidelines; Attend required staff meetings; Participate in staff development activities.

Qualifications:

An Assistant Childcare Teacher MUST have the following experience and attributes: High School Diploma or HiSET/GED Certificate Ability to comply with and meet NH Childcare Licensing requirements Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to react quickly and keep up with moving children Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust ALC offers a generous childcare discount, as well as lunch provided daily by our onsite chef.
