Associate Daycare Teacher Job Description:
Are you looking to nurture young minds and make a difference in their early development? Sugar n’ Spice Preschool is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Associate Daycare Teacher to join our team! In this role, you’ll collaborate with lead teachers to provide a stimulating and secure environment for our daycare students. You’ll play a vital role in fostering their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum and Activities:
Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities. Participate in creating a daily schedule that balances educational experiences with playtime and relaxation. Prepare and utilize a variety of teaching materials and methods (e.g., stories, songs, arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor play).
Child Care and Development:
Provide attentive care to a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being. Observe children’s interactions and development, documenting progress and reporting any concerns to the director. Promote positive social skills and conflict resolution among children.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain clear and open communication with parents regarding their child’s day, progress, and needs. Collaborate effectively with lead teachers and other daycare staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years of age & high school diploma Qualified per NH CCLU regulations. Minimum of one year of experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting In-depth knowledge of child development principles and best practices Strong patience, creativity, and ability to manage a classroom effectively Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing environment for children
Pay Range:
$16 – $20 per hour – depending on experience
