Our program is thoughtfully designed for children whose primary special education needs are related to autism or developmental delays. We focus on building strong academic foundations, nurturing individual strengths, and promoting independence through functional communication and adaptive skills. We are proud of our dynamic interdisciplinary team, which includes: Certified Special Education Administrator Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) Certified Educators Occupational Therapist Speech-Language Pathologist Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) Behavior Technicians Together, we create meaningful, individualized programs that promote academic growth, reduce barriers to learning, and build real-world skills that generalize across environments.

Who We’re Looking For:

Paraeducator We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and reliable Paraeducator to join our school team! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a daily difference in the lives of students while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in accessing their individualized instruction and therapies Assist lead teachers and behavior specialists with classroom activities and behavior plans Provide 1:1 or small group support under the guidance of a BCBA and certified special education teacher Promote social and communication skill development throughout the school day Help collect data on student goals and support skill generalization across environments Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment

Qualifications:

Must ne 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent (required) Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism (preferred) Ability to follow behavioral support plans and implement consistent routines Strong teamwork, flexibility, and positive attitude Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative setting Why Join Birch Academy?
