All we need is you. The opportunity Sothern Hampshire University is looking for student employees to work with the Manchester Police Athletic League as a Program Assistant. This position will assist program leads with youth participation and engagement, as well as, general after-school operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Play games or participate in athletics with kids.
Assist new parents and kids by providing information on MPAL programs.
Assist with cleaning when needed; this includes but is not limited to cleaning/disinfecting program equipment, doing loads of laundry, loading and running the dishwasher, etc.
Assist with special events such as our annual 5K, Trunk or Treat, Holiday Walk, PizzaFest and Cornhole Tournament.
Assist with program-specific tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
Work study part of financial aid package
Students with work study may be prioritized
Reliable transportation
Ability to communicate effectively with kids, parents, volunteers/police officers, and staff in both oral and written form.
Ability to solve practical problems and exercise sound judgment.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all organization policies.
Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public.
Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented.
Respect and maintain confidentiality of MPAL participants, volunteers, partners, and donors.

Learning Outcomes:

Gain understanding of non-profit operations.
Learn best practices in youth programming.
Gain knowledge of challenges our youth currently face on a daily basis.

Work Schedule:

Flexible Schedule, Choose one or more days and hours within 3pm
