Role:
As a Paraprofessional with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in the classroom, working collaboratively with licensed teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will provide individualized support to students, reinforcing new curriculum, assisting with classroom activities, and helping students reach their full potential. This includes working with students in small groups or one-on-one settings, aiding in early learning tasks, and encouraging positive social interaction. Some positions may specifically focus on supporting special education students and implementing behavior intervention plans.
Responsibilities May Include:
Collaborating with teachers to deliver educational content and manage classroom activities. Providing individualized and small group academic support. Assisting with behavior management and fostering positive social interactions. Supporting students with special education requirements, including implementing IEP accommodations. Assisting in collecting and tracking student data. Maintaining confidentiality of student information. Fostering a positive, professional, and adaptable attitude when interacting with students and staff. Ensuring regular attendance and punctuality. Performing other duties as assigned by the administration or supervising teacher. Position Details (may vary by specific assignment):

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. New Hampshire state requirements for paraprofessionals, which typically include at least 2 years of college coursework or an Associate’s degree, or a passing score on a nationally recognized assessment like the ParaPro. Prior school or relevant experience working with children is preferred. Previous experience in Special Education is required for Special Education Paraprofessional roles. Comfortable with feeding, toileting, and diapering students for certain Special Education assignments. Active RBT certification for specific life skills classroom support roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience and a positive attitude. Ability to adapt to various educational settings and diverse student needs. Basic knowledge of educational tools and technology is an advantage.
