Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young learners
• Teach basic math and literacy skills through engaging activities and play
• Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
• Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety.
• Basic custodial duties at end of school day.

Skills :

• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
• Ability to educate and engage young learners through creative teaching methods
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level
• Strong organizational skills to effectively plan and implement lessons
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Preschool teachers may need to lift children, move furniture, or handle classroom supplies.
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods, able to bend at the waist, kneel, or crouch down.
• Able to actively engage: Teachers may need to engage in physical activities with children, including jumping, dancing, and running.
• Able to move quickly in response to emergencies or children’s needs.
