Job Description
United Staff Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join a dynamic school team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will support students with special needs in classroom and one-on-one settings, collaborating closely with teachers and school staff to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under the direction of a certified teacher
Assist students with academic work, mobility, personal care, or communication as needed
Promote independence and inclusion for students with varying learning and behavioral needs
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment
Monitor classroom activities and assist with lesson implementation
Help manage classroom behavior and provide redirection as necessary
Qualifications
Bachelors (Required)
Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant Certification (Preferred)
Experience working with children or students with disabilities is a strong plus
Patient, caring, and flexible attitude with strong communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
