Job Description
Paraprofessional RKS Associates Harbor School 240 Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724 We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing support to students with special needs, working closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment. Harbor School is an approved private school for students with disabilities providing educational, vocational, and support services for student’s ages 5 to 21 in Ocean, Monmouth, Mercer and other counties. Harbor School is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing educational environment for students with a variety of challenges. Duties
- Support students with special needs in various educational settings
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt curriculum materials
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students
- Help students with behavior management and social skills development Requirements
- Para Pro Test
- New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certification
- High School Diploma (for substitute paraprofessionals)
- Experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Background in education is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment EOE/MF.
