HEAD START TEACHER ASSISTANT 40 HOURS PER WEEK, FULL YEAR

Job Overview We are fast-paced and high-demand, non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions. Responsibilities and Duties Assist teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work environment Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom Assist in the maintenance of recordkeeping and reporting systems to ensure accurate information, with timely completion and follow-up As needed, provide education services to children and families using virtual learning platforms as noted in Norwescap Head Start virtual learning policies and procedures Qualifications Minimum Education Level High School Diploma/GED and working towards a CDA Preferred Education Level CDA, Associates, or higher, in early childhood education, social work, or related field Experience Some experience preferred, Head Start experience preferred Preferred Experience 2+ years of direct experience with children birth to 5 and their families 1+ year of Head Start experience Personal characteristics: Self-motivated, compassionate, flexible, dependable, enthusiastic, inclusive

Certifications:

CDA (to be completed within two years) or equivalent, driver’s license Physical abilities: Lift 30 pounds
