Caregiver/Teacher Assistant Serendipity Daycare Center 22 Grove Street, Voorheesville, NY 12186 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team for the upcoming school year, September 2025, in providing exceptional care and support to our children in an enriching environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting staff and ensuring that the needs of our children are met with dignity and respect. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about childcare and eager to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Duties Assist staff with daily monitoring and observation to ensure the well-being of all. Support the implementation of lesson plans, ensuring that each child’s needs are met. Help maintain a clean and safe environment for children adhering to safety protocols. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, promoting nutritional health. Engage with children through meaningful activities, fostering social interaction and emotional support. Assist with document observations and report any changes in a child’s conditions to lead staff promptly. Collaborate with team members to create a supportive atmosphere for both child and staff. Skills Strong monitoring and observation skills to ensure the safety and health of children. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction families, and staff. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality child care. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
