Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Math Teaching Assistant to support our RtI/MTSS program for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers and the Math Specialist to provide targeted small-group and one-on-one math instruction aimed at addressing skill gaps and reinforcing core concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver small-group or individualized math instruction based on student needs and intervention plans. Assist in progress monitoring and data collection to inform instructional decisions. Support classroom teachers with implementing RtI strategies and materials. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds student confidence and engagement in math. Communicate regularly with teachers and support staff regarding student progress and needs.
Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting. Strong math skills and a willingness to learn intervention strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and adapt to student needs. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting student growth.
