Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a fun and reliable Preschool Day Camp Assistant Teacher to join our summer team from June 23, 2025-August 15, 2025. Hours are 8:30 am

• 3:30 pm.

As an assistant Preschool Day Camp Teacher for our age 3-5 campers, you will ensure the children enjoy their summer by supporting the Lead Teacher in implimenting engaging crafts and activities. Small class size with a Floater Teacher as needed. Much of the day is spent in our air-conditioned classroom but, weather permitting, children have two opportunities to play outdoors and once each day in outdoor sprinklers/water play time.

Duties:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in prepping for and working on summer themed crafts and activities with children
• Keeping children engaged in play in classroom centers
• Reading stories
• Assisting children in preparing for sprinklers with swimsuits and sunblock
• Lunches provided by parents, but some may need to be microwaved
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor children’s interactions, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed
• Collaborate with other teachers as well as parents regarding children’s needs and wellbeing
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment

QUALIFICATIONS

: 1) High School degree or GED required 2) Experience with young children 3) Patient, friendly with a genuine love for working with children 4) References required
