Young 3’s Assistant Cortland Child Development Program Cortland, NY 13045 Summary The position would require you to assist the lead teacher in the Young 3’s classroom. Duties Assist Lead teachers with daily schedule of activities Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports. Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling. Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center. Follow all center policies and state regulations. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Requirements

MUST HAVE

Childcare Experience (at least one year) High School Diploma (or equivalent) High energy. Ability to work well with others. We are a not-for-profit agency, licensed by the State of New York. Our Programs are available to infants through preschoolers and children needing school-age recreational care on a year-round basis, open many of the days our public schools are closed. Enrollment priority is given to children with special challenges. Mission The Cortland Child Development Centers will provide safe and nurturing environments with opportunities for creative learning: Nurturing supervision will be given to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children while parents are working or pursuing their own education.
