FULL-TIME ELEMENTARY TEACHER ASSISTANT POSITION
1.0 FTE Elementary Teacher Assistant- Probationary
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION
- Preferred (not required) NYS Early Childhood Birth-Gr. 2 and Childhood Gr. 1-6 or
- NYS Level 1, 2, or 3 Teacher Assistant Certification
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Comprehensive understanding of NYS ELA, Math, SS and Science Next Generation Standards
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of the principles and methods for instruction at the elementary level.
- Demonstrate the ability to design and implement lessons to meet the learning needs of students with varying levels of ability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create a positive student-centered learning environment.
- Utilization of student assessments and data processes to identify programmatic needs, as well as target support for individual students.
- Collaborate with faculty and grade level team to design, modify, and implement effective lesson (unit) plans.
