Teaching Assistant 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 386 River Road, Lake Placid, NY 12946 Hourly range from $17.79 – $24.76 based on experience Mountain Lake Academy is an experiential-based program that works with 36 students in grades 7-12 at a year-round boarding school located in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. Mountain Lake Academy provides a variety of experiential-based programming for boys in grades 7-12. These experiences include hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, multi-day expeditions, and vocational programming.

What to expect:

As the Teaching Assistant , you will play a pivotal role in the educational success of our students by serving as an instructional leader. You will provide essential support to teachers in curriculum development and instructional strategies, ensuring a well-rounded and inclusive learning environment. Your role will extend to assisting other departments in implementing policies and procedures and maintaining the highest standards of instruction and adherence to established guidelines. Your skills & experience: Relationship and skill building Documentation and time management skills Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families Ability to work in a team environment Participate in school-wide meetings and professional development opportunities What you’ll need: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
