Job Description:

Brooklyn Global Prep is looking for a French teacher for either our preschool or infant/toddler program. The candidate should embody the school’s mission to create a child-centric haven that utilizes language immersion, creative open spaces, nature, art and music to continue the path of happy, culturally diverse, open-minded global thinkers and forever learners.

The successful candidate will:

Work with the other French teachers in a fun and engaging way using a variety of hands-on approaches to learning, Expose children to a wide variety of educational opportunities that encourage self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving, Support children to excel in math, science, reading, and writing in French, Care for young children and make sure they are safe, clean, and monitored at all times, Ensure city and state compliance at all times, Additional duties as needed for this role.

Position Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred but not required, Experience in a preschool or with young children, Fluent French speaker, Have experience caring for young children. Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, year-round daily physical activities, and more, Ability to play an instrument preferred but not required, NYS Birth – 2 Certification preferred but not required, Certifications in CPR, First Aid and Mental Health are preferred but not required.

$17.00 – $25.00 per hour
