(Salary will be commensurate with experience.) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant Coordinator to support our educational team. Duties Ensure NYSED compliance of the building in conjunction with the building principal and Education Coordinator. Conduct frequent classroom and building walkthroughs to ensure that staff are following regulations and Just Kids policies. Oversee and review Just Kids policies and procedures. Track staff members training compliance, safety drills, and classroom checklists. Conduct trainings with TA Department in coordination with Principal and Education Coordinator. Collaborate with the leadership team to devise strategies for enhancing TA staff understanding of special education and early childhood education best practices. Coordinate with the building principal and Education Coordinator training for staff. Assist with student arrival and dismissal procedures. Develop and implement a system for daily staff coverage, ensuring adequate compliance with staffing ratios. Provides daily coverage schedule for teacher and teacher assistant absences in conjunction with the education coordinator. Conduct walk-throughs and performance evaluations for the TA Department Conduct hiring, terminating, and supervision of the TA Department with assistance from Human Resources and building principal as needed. Assist with other assigned tasks as requested. Requirements Minimum of Associate’s Degree Classroom Experience One year of experience supervising staff in a childcare program or a related field of work Excellent leadership and communication skills
