The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role involves working with diverse groups of children, including those with disabilities and autism, and requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles. The Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and growth. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development. Provide care and supervision for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Support children with disabilities, including autism, by adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that enhance their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Help with curriculum development by contributing ideas for lessons that align with Montessori principles. Monitor children’s behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed to maintain a positive classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Experience Must be fluent in Mandarin. Prior experience working in daycare or preschool settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential. Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus. Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning is beneficial. Skills in behavior management techniques are highly valued. A background in math education or related subjects can enhance the learning experience for students.
