SCHEDULE

: Full-time, weekdays 7:30am to 3:30pm. Follows school district calendar, with paid leave for all school year holidays and breaks, and an unpaid temporary layoff every summer with eligibility for unemployment benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS

: A Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or formal education equivalent to at least 6 college credit hours in Early Childhood Education, plus experience working with preschool-aged children in a professional or practicum setting; Also requires: Solid interpersonal and communication skills with adults and young children Ability to work in a team environment Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Basic computer skills

SUMMARY :

Assist the lead teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of 3- and 4-year-old children in a classroom setting. Provide and maintain a safe environment for children and ensure that they are appropriately supervised at all times.
