Job Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Summer Swim Assistants to support our Learn to Swim Program for students in grades Pre-K through 8th . The Swim Assistant will work closely with instructors to provide a safe, engaging, and educational swimming experience for young learners. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in youth programming and aquatic instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist certified swim instructors during swim lessons. Provide hands-on support to students in the water to ensure safety and encourage participation. Help manage student behavior and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support setup and cleanup of pool area before and after swim sessions. Monitor student safety at all times and report any concerns to program supervisors. Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating appropriate behavior and a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

Must be able to swim proficiently and demonstrate strong water safety skills. Must be comfortable and willing to be in the water for the duration of instructional periods. Previous experience working with children is preferred, but not required. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions from lead instructors and supervisors. Enthusiastic, patient, and supportive personality, especially when working with younger students.
